From time to time we are all faced with a situation that may lead to dispute. This is not uncommon when it comes to building a new dwelling or even purchasing an existing home.
The inability of some contractors to perform to the required standards will result in substandard works relating to the New Zealand Building Code and associated standards. This presents a major issue as complications arise over the issue of a Code Compliance Certificate and in some instances council practices further complicate the matter.
Both Dave and Bill, directors of Citywide Building Consultants (Auck) Ltd) have extensive backgrounds in the application of the legalisation and minimum building requirements. Between us we have over 24 years experience in the application of these requirements from within council. We know how to navigate through council processes, relate to the contractor and more importantly satisfy and support 'you' our customer in resolving these disputes.
